Given a pseudo-Anosov flow on a 3-manifold, when does it admit a transverse foliation? The machinery of veering triangulations is well-adapted to a computational approach to this problem. I will explain some of the computational challenges as well as intriguing patterns that arise in the search for transverse foliations.
