We are planning to run a reading seminar on Baker-Demarco's conjecture which aims at classifying algebraic subvarieties of the moduli space of rational maps containing a Zariski dense subset of post-critically finite parameters.
We will present an overview of the problem and suggest some talks that can be could be given by the participants.
The plan is to keep the arithmetic part to an elementary level and to focus on interactions with other problems in complex dynamics: rigidity, similarity of Julia sets and bifurcation loci, classification of PCF maps, symmetries of rational maps, etc.
