This five-day conference, which will serve as the main research conference for the MSRI program in Teichmüller theory and Kleinian groups, will attempt to take stock of the work and results of participants of the program, as well as to incorporate outside perspectives. The conference, which will include roughly 25 main speakers from a broad variety of focus areas, will make the case for a continued modernization of the connections between these two fields which have undergone such dramatic changes in recent years. Ample time will be provided for discussion in between talks, and communicating across these two fields will be emphasized.
