The last few years have witnessed major developments in algebraic geometry, especially in the minimal model program and derived categories. The purpose of this workshop is to explore the implications of these developments to moduli theory. The workshop will convene experts specializing on the minimal model program, derived categories and moduli spaces in an informal environment to facilitate the cross-fertilization of ideas across these different fields of algebraic geometry. The four
main themes will be:
1. The interactions and connections between Gromov-Witten theory, Donaldson-Thomas theory and stable-pair theory.
2. Moduli of objects in derived categories and their relations to counting invariants.
3. The moduli of higher dimensional varieties.
4. New developments in Brill-Noether Theory and the minimal model program for the moduli space of curves.
