Sponsor: Hayashibara Foundation Symplectic geometry originated as a mathematical language for Hamiltonian mechanics, but during the last 3 decades it witnessed both, spectacuar development of the mathematical theory and discovery of new connections and applications to physics. Meanwhile, non-commutative geometry naturally entered into this picture. The workshop aims to highlight some of these connections and further boost interactions between mathematicians and physicists working in related areas. It will consists of 3 minicourses given by Denis Auroux, Yan Soibelman and Katrin Wehrheim, as well as lectures given by physicists and mathematicians. Organizers Yakov Eliashberg* (Stanford University) Alan Weinstein* (Berkeley) Dusa McDuff (New York) Robbert Dijkgraaf (Amsterdam) Paul Seidel (Masachussets) Kenji Fukaya (Kyoto) Tohru Eguchi (Kyoto) Yoshiaki Maeda* (Keio University) (* lead/contact organizers) Mini Course Lectures Denis Auroux (Masachussets) Yan Soibelman (Kansas) Katrin Wehrheim (Masachussets) Plenary Speakers Mina Aganagic (Berkeley) Manabu Akaho (Tokyo) Tohru Eguchi (Kyoto) Bertrand Eynard (Saclay) Hiroshige Kajiura (Chiba) Anton Kapustin (Pasadena) Yong-Geun Oh (Wisconsin) Hiroshi Ooguri (Tokyo) Yongbin Ruan (Michigan) James Simons (Stony Brook) Dmitry Tamarkin (Chicago) Bruno Vallette (Nice)
