Kazhdan-Lusztig conjectures about representation theory of Lie algebras over the field of complex numbers
were simultaneously proved around 1980 by Brylinski-Kashiwara and Beilinson-Bernstein.
This result relies on a localization theorem of D-modules over flag varieties of semi-simple groups.
In this talk we will explain what D-modules are, and this localization theorem.
