The International Congress of Mathematicians will be held July 23-30, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The congress coincides with 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the 40th anniversary of the last ICM was held in the United States.

The ICM offers a rare opportunity to meet some of the world's leading mathematicians and be inspired by the vast diversity of today’s mathematics. The official website of the Congress is www.icm2026.org. Further information regarding ICM 2026 will be made available in due course; registration will open in January 2025.

The National Association of Mathematicians (NAM) will screen the two-part SLMath and Zala Films documentary series Journeys of Black Mathematicians at the 2026 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets are free to reserve for the general public (ICM registration is not required) via Eventbrite. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A.
